Summer Camp 2013 started this week. Our business class students learned how to sell their produce and earn profits. We also have business class meetings with our teacher Abi. We thank our camp teacher Tendai for teaching us Spanish, Swahili, and French to the little ones, and to our volunteer Tia Maria, who took time on her vacation to read to our class. Plus, we do workout and fitness to to keep them fit. We are having a blast! [Show as...

Classes were held in the Rutty yard at Walkerswood, St. Ann. We had a great turn out and look forward to practicing and encouraging each other. The children will continue to learn self-defense, develop confidence, develop discipline, learn respect, get in shape and have fun! If you would like to support our charity and come and meet Mama Tendai, Kymani and the children, please come along. The more the merrier! [Show as slideshow]...
Read MoreRRYEP 1st meeting was a group discussion with about 18 girls ranging from ages 8 – 12 years old. Our first meeting was very interesting. We discussed Self Love and Self Esteem. All the girls got handouts and affirmations to take home and got to take turns reading out loud. It was good to know that most of the girls were well educated in these areas. We then had a little fun doing crossword puzzles with Spring themes. We really look forward to planning this year’s Summer Enrichment Program. We look to partner with other organizations and people who have similar missions because the need for help is island wide. This is truly the planting of a great seed, that no doubt will sprout into many blessings! [Show as...
Read MoreGreetings One and all! It’s a beautiful day here in Jamaica, hope everyone is in great spirits. I am now putting together an update on the past pageant along with the updates that took place since the pageant as well as things that I would like to put in place to all the sponsors. I know this is important because everyone wants to know whats going on. I have one suggestion. I am now working with the girls and they are writing their thank you letters. They are excited as this is important to them because the sponsors played a great role in their lives. I was hoping to put a package together tp package with the DVD officially labeled, along with the girls thank you letter to whom ever sponsored a child for the last Rutty Roots crowning of the First Annual Jamaica’s Princess. We thank all sponsors who made this event a great success. Most of the sponsors I know are just a hand reach away and a few are maybe 2-3 day mailing so it wont cost us much for mailing when he bring the packages up. Let me know what you think.
